Top 5 Tips for Throwing an Excellent Office Party

Top 5 Tips for Throwing an Excellent Office Party

With the holiday party season in full swing, here are our top 5 tips for throwing your company an excellent holiday party to carry them through the rest of winter.

1. Pour The Wine. It can be hard to let your guard down and enjoy yourself in front of those you’ve sat in conference rooms with for months, plus it shows employees that this is truly a time to have fun.  Just don’t forget to have lots of water to help balance their consumption.

2. Toast Your People. No matter what kind of year you had you wouldn’t be there without the hard work and dedication of your co-workers and team.  Show them your appreciation and make sure they can hear you loud and clear.

3.  Feed Their Tummies. You don’t want a bunch of hungry people drinking the night away, plus good food can move the focus off of the alcohol and make for a more enjoyable party.

4.  Make Bonding Easier. Having places for people to sit together in small groups will encourage your employees and coworkers to engage in conversation, especially with people they might not talk to during working hours.

5.  Music Sets the Tone.  Whether it’s a great play list or a killer band, your party can be in someone’s basement and it’ll thrive if the music’s right.  If doing a playlist reach out the whole company to participate, then you know you’ve got everyone’s jam.
