30 Mar Fresh For Spring
It’s Spring Baby!
You’ve survived the winter; cold, snow, ice. And if you are a freelancer like me worked might have slowed down a bit as February reared it’s icy head. So now it’s time to celebrate, spring is here and new life is popping up all over.
Last May I decided it was time to commit myself full time to my photography, and I’ve always known the road would be long and winding. Even though my focus has shifted to photography for marketing, I jump at the chance to capture parents welcoming a loved one into their lives.
Because shooting families isn’t my main focus, I don’t have to pretend to be something I’m not. If you are looking for an Anne Geddes style, let’s put really big hats and wrap the baby up to look like some exotic bird with no arms and no legs, I’ll be happy to give you some recommendations.
What I aim to capture are the interactions between a new dad and his tiny one, his large hand already protecting this precious new life. I want to focus on the itty bitty ear, the teeny tiny fingers, that delicious little nose, and the baby’s expression seeing everything for the very first time. It’s a brand new day, and let’s document it before the exhaustion really kicks in.
